Igor Grigoletto is an artist born in Sanremo (Italy) in 1972. After graduating from the Art Institute of Imperia in the painting decoration section, he decided to continue his studies by attending the Albertina Academy of Turin, Painting section. He collaborates with theatrical companies where he designs and realizes theatrical backdrops for the theatre company “the utopia or the filocomica” inside the ARISTON theatre of Sanremo. He attends a private TIFFANY glass processing course and from here begins his craft where in his career he has the opportunity to make himself known thanks to his creativity that differentiates him from his colleagues.

In the early years he created and exhibited in both Sanremo and Parma collections of modern furnishing accessories, designed with an ancient technique: the TIFFANY technique. In this period he also received the LA STAMPA award and the “OPASI” award for the design of marble furniture.
The recall of the canvas and the colors bring him back on the old steps, so in 2018 he resumes to produce paintings that lead him to a crescendo of works. After working on various supports such as bags of Yuta, fiscoli or sportine, metal nets and metal sculptures, he returned to the material he knows and works most: glass. The study of the line, in all its forms comes from the search for signs, “letters” that emerge from the surfaces thanks to intersections of lines below, not visible but present. The works seem to be a succession of endless writings, which apparently do not obey codes but a free aesthetic.
