We are glad to announce that on Wednesday, 15th of December 2021, we will open to the public the solo exhibition signed by Italian artist Lucia Simone.
Signal Lost, the title of Lucia Simone’s recent series of works, alludes to the condition of alienation and spatial distance and thus to the emotional one, through which images, themes and current events, even traumatic ones, are perceived through a screen filter, be it televised, digital or computerized. On the contrary, her portraits seek to propose a profound investigation of the individual and his identity through a conceptual juxtaposition between the mental state and the physical phenomenon, in relation to the human being and his dystopian nature. Her work seeks to transmit small short circuits in the brain of the observer, to awaken a process of emotional awareness through an imaginary journey, activated by specific aspects and elements. In short, Lucia Simone’s works want to revive a “lost signal” and get an emotional response from the viewer.
