Project Description
Mihai Vrabies
Mihai Florin Vrabieş is a romanian artist born on the 27th March 1990 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he actually lives and works.
He took part in several exhibitions and art fairs, such as The Others, Tourin, Italy, (2015); Art market Budapest, Budapest, Hungary (2015); Art Athina, Athena, Greece (2015); Habitus, group exhibition, Iaga Contemporary Art, Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2017); he also had the occasion to exhibit his research during the solo exhibition The Void effect, at Iaga Contemporary Art, Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2015).
The language of Mihai Vrabieş, presents itself as a theater open on the unconscious, full of poetry and mystery. Digging in the interiority of the soul, without dwelling on the surface of things, Vrabieş faces up the color to put it in crisis, making it evanescent; he deals with the form, bringing it to its logical extreme, wasting away every possible place of consistency. The themes of the sacred and the spiritual, the violence of the gesture, the absence of the solution in the tumult of passion of painting, the materials as intangible substance of the pain and of the will are the central themes of research by Vrabieş that presents an interesting, and deliberately not-codified, new way of the contemporary lyrical abstraction.
